Say what? A baby???

That ring I got from my mother for my birthday? I told my man that I will be breaking my family tradition of passing it on from generation to generation because I don't have a daughter. It usually doesn't bother me - I made a decision to remain childless a long time ago, but now it suddenly hit me that I won't EVER have a child, nor a grandchild... Apparently he took it as my wish to have a baby, and yesterday he suggested we have one!!! I was SO not expecting it! Not just a mere suggestion either! He is in the process of remodeling his house, so now he is talking about changing floor plans to include a room for nursery! Told me to go see my doctor and run all the tests possible... and get rid of my IUD...
I'm in a quiet panic.

Happy birthday...

My mother just presented me with a gift from my great-aunt who died 15 years ago. It's a ring that gets passed on from generation to generation. It was my great-aunt's wish that my mother gives it to me TODAY. Yes, it's old. Very old. Gold, five diamonds in a platinum frame. Not your typical bling-bling ring, it's a WOW ring.
I'm overwhelmed with emotions.

Oh great....

I meet with this friend of mine, and all she wants to do is OD on sushi and get drunk! Naturally, I have no problem with OD'ing on sushi, but my god, she is the one driving!
She just lost her mother and she wants to relax and not think about it for once. Understandable. So we had lots of sushi and lots of sake and beer. Then we had even more sushi. By the time we were out of that sushi place we were super full and not drunk anymore. I guess she got what she wanted, right?

Technology - prices

I just bought my man a printer-scanner-copier thing for his birthday, and it was only $80! That's EIGHTY bucks! That's it!
Now I'm looking at my own stuff. I have a couple years old printer, and a couple years old scanner. $100 each! And that was a good deal back then! Ugh!

Just on sex

What if there were more than two sexes out there? What would the "opposite" sex be? If you are not homosexual, what sex whould you be hooking up with? And if you were hooking up with the "wrong" sex, whould you be labeled as the "wrong" being? What is the "opposite" sex anyway? Shouldn't it be "another" sex instead of the "opposite" sex?

...is so much easier when you know where to buy the freshest fish, got all the right ingredients and tools, and don't burn the eel.

Now some idiot on the radio is saying that the average life expectancy for a bridge that was built using "old" technologies is about 50 years. Excuse me, WHAT? Do you even know what you are talking about? Where I came from, bridges built using OLD technologies don't collapse for CENTURIES! Dumbass!

On bikes and sex

Sex after a bike ride is MUCH better than a bike ride after sex!

Animal People

It's ok if you are a cat person, a dog person, a horse person, a cat-dog person, or a cat-dog-horse-lizard person... People that don't like ANY animals scare me.
